The program opened with President John Bunchy, welcoming all the children and parents to the party, on behalf of Home Office and Branch 28. Children placed their names into a book as they entered, for door prize drawings. Then with the singing of Jingle Bells, Jolly Santa came into the room with a big HO HO HO, each child whispered into Santa’s ear, telling him what they wanted for Christmas. The children were entertained ly two singing nuns from the Ursuline Mother House; Sister Barbara Kaluczky and Sister Nancy Pawlin, who stole the show with their Guitar and Tambourine playing, leading the children in Carol singing. It was heartwarming to see the joyous mood the children were in as Santa gave them gifts of 1 lb. boxes of cholcolate candy, popcorn balls, cookies and fruit drinks. Then Santa pulled names for door prizes. Each and everyone of the children ended up winning a New Bicentennial silver dollar. Then they gathered around Santa and had their pictures taken. We want to thank all those who served on the committee: Helen and John Kaluczky, Leslie and Anna Wash and John Bunchy. Branch 28 members would like to extend a special thanks to Home Office for their generous check, which made this party possible and such a great success. Thanks for the carol-books, they were enjoyed. We also want to thank Frank Lorant for making such a jolly Santa Claus and Frank Scnawer who took such good pictures of the children.
