Everyone attending the 33rd National Bowling Tournament in Pittsburgh, Pa. had a great time and will long be remembered. The captain of Branch 13, girl’s bowling team was Margaret Hamari along with Betty Kennedy, Ann Ondo, Louise Vechy, and Olga Cherpak of Arlington, Va. Congratulations, girls, for coming home with a prize. The men’s team captained by Stephen Vechy, comprised the following bowlers from Branch 13: Andy Sitko, Edward Kowalik, and Joseph Hamari. Both of our teams have been bowling for many years and certainly deserve much recognition for their devotion. Many thanks to Mr. Gus G. Nagy, who was the Tournament Administrator and all those good dedicated workers in our home office who assisted him. The program at the bowling banquet was excellent, the meal was delicious, and the music was most enjoyable for dancing. What more could we ask for along with the fraternalizing and sportsmanship that was manifested? Branch 13 will be celebrating the 90th Anniversary of the William Penn Association with a dinner-dance on November 20, 1976 at the Grand Ballroom, located at Grand and Beatty Sts., Trenton, N.J.
