AUDITING COMMITTEE'S REPORT REPORT OF THE NATIONAL AUDITING COMMITTEE TO: THE NATIONAL PRESIDENT, MR. ELMER CHARLES. The Nationa Auditing Committee met at the Home Office, March 17, 1975 to March 21, 1975. Committee Members present were: László E. Kereszti; Chairman, Emma L. Reganyi; Secretary, Louis A. Fodor, Michael J. Hrabar, Michael R. Kara and Helen M. Nemeth. The Auditing Committe met in a joint meeting with the Board of Directors at the opening of the first quarterly session of the Board and heard greetings and welcome extended by National President Elmer Charles. On behalf of the Committee,Mr. Michael R. Kara expressed the joy and pleasure of being together once more and finding ever­yone enjoying good health. Our audit covered the period from July 1, 1974 to December 31, 1974. All bank accounts were thoroughly exa­mined and verified through confirmations received from the various banks. All the disbursements, cancelled checks, statements and ledgers for the six month period were verified. After examining the Mortgage portfolio, it was noted by the Committee that Mort­gage Numbers 14 and 34 are delinquent and the Committee suggested immediate action to collect the amount due or foreclose on the mortgage. All Bond and Stock purchases were veri­fied. Reviewing the Fraternal Activities of the Association, it was noted that 30 branches held Christmas Parties, subsidized partially by the Home Office. Branch Annual Audit Reports were au­dited, and the Committee wishes to state that after examining the Audit Reports, it was noted that many branches are having activities, thereby furthering fraternalism among the membership. Twelve branches did not submit audit reports for 1974. We recommend that they be requested to file a report each year. On Thursday, March 20th, the Commit­tee examined the securities at the vault of Mellon Bank and found that as of Decemb­­er 31, 1974 the Bonds totalled $30,148,955.05 and the Stocks totalled $1,164,895.41. The Annual Financial Statement and the Actuary’s Report were thoroughly reviewed. The Association shows a Surplus as of December 31, 1974 of $3,766,464.(X). The Solvency Ratio is 112.04%. The Com­mittee compliments Management for doing an outstanding job for the year 1974. The Minutes of the Board Meetings and the Executive Committee Meetings were read by the Committee. Before the close of Audit, the Committee met with National President Elmer Charles and National Secretary Albert J. Stelkovics to review plans for the forthcoming report to the National Convention and matters pertaining to Home Office real estate and the American Fund. Chairman László E. Kereszti, in behalf of the Committee thanked the Officers and the Home Office Employees for the kind coo­peration extended to them during the Au­dit. Respectfully submitted, László E.
