Moved, seconded, and the Board voted that the new Illustrious Citation Certificates be signed by National President, Chairman of the Board, National Treasurer and National Secretary. 19. The Board commenced a lengthy review of a specimen format prepared for the Board of Directors, which format will be used as the Board’s Report to the General Convention. After several corrections and additions, the Board authorizes the National President to proceed with the completion of the Report. 20. General Counsel Gay B. Banes gave a verbal report to the Directors regarding the progress being made by the National Fraternal Congress Law Committee in enacting a Uniform Fraternal Code in the State of Pennsylvania. After a serious discussion, moved, seconded, and the Board authorized the Staff and General Counsel to proceed, with the cooperation of other Fraternal Societies and the Pennsylvania Legislature, for the enactment of a Uniform Fraternal Code. 21. Moved, seconded, and the Board unanimously approved that the William Penn Association sponsor a trip to Hungary in 1976. 22. Moved, seconded, and the Board referred to the Executive Committee the entire matter of working out various details of the Association's planned trip to Hungary and promote this trip in conjunction with a Membership Campaign. The Committee will make its report and recommendations at the next Board meeting, in the meantime, whatever plans have to be put into effect prior to the next meeting, the Executive Committee is authorized to do so. 23. The Board recommended that in conjunction with the Trip to Hungary in 1976, two insurance policies be used in promoting the Membership Campaign. They are the Juvenile Term Policy to Age 25 and the 25 Payment Life Policy. The Board further authorized to commence the campaign as of July 1, 1975, using the modified short form adult and child applications. 24. The Board acknowledged receipt of letters of thanks from Junior Achievement of Southwest Pennsylvania, Inc., Hungarian Reformed Radio Program of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,, Magyar Cserkesz Association, and Miss Julia R. Orosz. 14 The Board further acknowledged letter of thanks from Branch 525, Los Angeles, California, thanking the Association for sending President Charles and Vice President Balia to their 30th Anniversary and to present the Illustrious Citation to Mr. Eugene Fintor, Manager, Branch 525. 25. National Secretary Albert J. Stelkovics read a letter from the Lorantffy Care Center, Inc. of Akron, Ohio. Following a discussion, moved, seconded, and the Board unanimously approves to donate $1,500 to the Lorantffy Care Center, Inc. and have an entire room dedicated to the William Penn Association for this donation and thereby also become a Founding Member. 26. Moved, seconded, and the Board unanimously approved that the William Penn Association donate $1,000 to the Calvin Synod Youth Camp Program. 27. Moved, seconded and the Board approved that the William Penn Association donate five (5) additional scholarship grants to the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc. 28. Moved, seconded, and the Board approved the distribution of cook books and other promotional articles to the first 500 persons attending the Magyar Nap outing being held by tne United Magyar Civic Association on July 6, 1975 in the Pittsburgh area. 29. Moved, seconded, and the Board authorized to present a resolution of the Board expressing congratulations and good wishes on the 50th wedding anniversary of Illustrious Member, Mr. Stephen Üveges, Past Branch Officer of Branch 296, Springdale, Pennsylvania and Mrs. Üveges. 30. Moved, seconded, and the Board authorized to present a resolution of the Board of Directors to Rev. Dr. Stephen M. Bessemer, Pastor of the United Church of Christ, Bridgeport, Connecticut, commemorating the 50th Anniversary of his ordination into the ministry. 31. In his closing remarks, President Charles expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors for approving the actions of the Executive Committee. We can now prepare for the future. We can be very proud to go before the forthcoming Convention and also be proud of the unity we possess. We should ask our delegates to come to the Convention prepared to help us plan for the future. The Association has progressed in the last four years despite-many adversities that transpired during this time. The Report to the Convention will be ready by our August meeting. President Charles feels the Convention can be completed in three days, and if it is successful this format can be carried on into the future. He expressed his best wishes for a pleasant and enjoyable vacation to all, and hoped to see everyone again in August and September. 32. Chairman of the Board John P. Balia thanked the members for their fine cooperation. He felt this was a very constructive meeting, and feels we can go proudly before the next Convention with our accomplishments. He wished the members a pleasant and safe journey to their homes. 33. There being no further business on the Agenda, Chairman Balia adjourned the meeting at 11:30 A.M. We know everyone will give him their fullest cooperation in helping him carry out the many duties of a representative in Illinois. He is very knowledgeable in the workings of a fraternal society having had several years experience and, also, earned his Fraternal Insurance Counsellor’s Designation three years ago. He is a very personable young man, having an abundance of energy, so it is apparent he will be quite an asset to the members in Graduate advanced Business and Estate planning in this area. One of his duties, also, will be the recruiting and training of new men so, if there are any recommendations anyone might have for new representatives in this area, please forward the details to Lou for handling.
