(e) Home Office to furnish to Branches printed invitations and carol hooks. (f) Branches desiring write-ups of the Christmas Party in William Penn Life are to submit their own articles together with any black and white photos they wish to be published. 30) The Board acknowledged receipt of letters of thanks from the following: The Bethlehem Home, Ligonier, Pennsylvania for the Associations donation of $1,000.00 toward the extension of their facilities for care of the aged.The Lorantffy Care Center, Akron, Ohio for the Associations $1,000.00 donation to their building fund. The new Care Center was dedicated September 15, 1974. Both of these organizations were most appreciative of our generous donations and each will dedicate one of their rooms with a plaque in recognition of the William Penn Association donation. The Calvin Synod Youth Camp is also very appreciative of the Associations generous $500.00 donation which will be used to maintain cultural ties and heritage. The Hungarian Boy Scount Camp, Fillmore, New York for our donation of $500.00 towards the support of this Hungarian Youth Program. Mr. Julius Nadas, Cleveland, Ohio for the purchase of the Magyar Irka-Firka booklet. The Board further acknowledged receipt of letters of thanks from the following bereaved families: Caspar Papp, Jr. family, Winter Park, Florida John M. Mikula family, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania The Board acknowledge receipt of letter of thanks from Mrs. Ann Hrabar, wife of Auditing Committee member Michael Hrabar, who had recently undergone major surgery. 31) Board Chairman, John P. Balia, then called upon each individual Director and National Officer to make their personal comments and reports on the fraternal and social activities in their respective areas. 32) Directors Hegedűs, Radvany, and Emri submitted a report to the Board with reference to the 1975 Bowling Tournament which was to be held in Atlantic City New Jersey. Each commented on the progress they had made in trying to secure a suitable headquarter hotel and bowling facilities. Each Director agreed that facilities and accomodations at Atlantic City were not suitable to the Association. None of the hotels, which were large enough, are available for Memorial Day weekend. Attempts were made in other cities to secure the proper facilities but this too was held not feasible. Following a lengthy discussion on this subject, it is moved, seconded and the Board agreed to change the Bowling Tournament site from New Jersey to Chicago, Illinois for 1975. National President Charles was requested to contact Officers of Branch 12 15, Chicago, Illinois to host, with Branch 24, the 1975 National Bowling Tournament. Director Frank J. Wukovits, Sr. was desig-' nated as Bowling Tournament Administrator with Gus G. Nagy as coordinator. The Board acknowledged the reports of Directors Michael Hegedűs, Frank J.Radvany and Zoltán B. Emri with sincere thanks and appreciation for the time and effort they expended in procuring this information. 33) Director Frank J. Radvany informed the Board that on September 6, 1974 the final closing was held in the sale of the Fonner District Office in Trenton, New Jersey. His report was acknowledged and the Board expressed its thanks to Mr. Radvany for the time and efforts he put forth in getting the sale finalized. 34) Upon request of the Board of Directors, Gus G. Nagy, Field Assistant to the President had visited Branch 90, Allentown, Pennsylvania with the purpose of revitalizing fraternal activity at this Branch or if this was not possible, to dissolve Branch 90. Mr. Nagy reported that he had met with Branch Officers and members. They pledged that they would become more active and promote certain fraternal activities in order that they retain their indentity as Branch 90 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The Board acknowledged the report and resolved that so long as the Branch continued to elect officers, hold regular meetings and arrange for social and fraternal activities Branch 90 will continue to remain a Branch of the Association. 35) Moved, seconded and the Board instructed General Counsel, Gay B. Banes that within the next thirty days steps be taken to dispose of the Branch 163 McKees Rocks Social Home, and its club license. It was further resolved that Genereal Counsel take whatever legal action is necessary in Cleveland, Ohio to see to it that the assets derived from the sale of Branch 14 Social Home be properly transferred to the account of William Penn Association Branch 14. 36) Moved, seconded and the Board adopted that due to the fact that full diplomatic relationship has now been established between the governments of the United States of America and Hungary the Executive Committee determine the feasibility of the William Penn Association sponsoring a trip to Hungary in the future, a trip which would be available to all William Penn members and a trip which would mean recognition of the William Penn as the largest Hungarian Fraternal Benefit Society in the world. 37) President Elmer Charles, in his closing remarks stated that he appreciated the remarks of each Director made to him concerning his leadership of the Association. This is a great moment in his life and hopes the Good Lord will continue to restore his health. He accepted with sincere thanks and appreciation the trust, confidence and support each member offered to him. All the accomplishments that have taken place has been with the assistance and cooperation of the Board of Directors. His fellow National Officers also contributed greatly in making the Association as great as it is. He hopes that the full cooperation which has been pledged bv all present will continue not only at Board meetings, but also in our everyday life and with our members back home.With Gods will and help, together we can continue to make our Association grow and prepare for its future growth. President Charles feels this will be a pleasant though difficult challenge and hopes he will receive evervones fullest cooperation in achieving these goals. President Charles promised that the assignments from the Board to the Executive Committee and National Officers will be fully carried out. He thanked the Board for supporting an Executive Committee which has worked so diligently in moving our Association forward. He extended each one a pleasant trip to their home and will be looking forward to the next meeting, and hopes the coming year will be fruitful for the Association. He hopes the Country's economic condition will improve because this has such a great bearing on the life of our Association. 38) Chairman Balia thanked the Board and National Officers for the fine cooperation rendered at this meeting. He felt this was one of the best meetings we have had. All questions and subjects were fullv deliberated and discussed in harmonious unity and hopes that this atmosphere of goodwill and fellowship will continue to prevail in the future.
