NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS Our By-Laws in Chapter XI, Section 5 provide that at the November Branch meeting the Branch President shall appoint a Nominating Committe. The Nominating Committee then makes its report to the December Branch meeting. Chapter XI., Section 6 of the By-Laws provides that election of Branch Officers shall take place at the December meeting and those elected shall be installed into then respective offices at that same meeting. Members are respectfully requested to attend meeting, take an active part in the affairs of the Branch and if called upon to serve or to assist, be willing to do this for the good of the Branch, its members and the Association. With the cooperation of many, we can achieve wonders as a fraternal benefit society. 1975 National Bowling Tournament All suitable facilities at Atlantic City, N.J. were booked for the Memorial Day week-end and as a result the 1975 Tournament has been moved to the City of Chicago. Mr. Frank Balogh, President of Branch 0015 and his Officers together with the membership, are very pleased to host the 1975 Tournament. CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PARTY The Board of Directors has always supported financially the holding of Christmas Parties for the Children at the Branches. In addition to financial assistance which the Board authorizes they enthusiastically urge all Branches to arrange for this great fraternal activity. The Board is aware of the fact that it requires a sacrifice on the part of Branch Officers to perform all the work necessary in connection with these parties, however, the joy it brings our young members is well worth the effort. Members are urged to attend meetings of their respective Branches and help to formulate plans and to offer their time to make these successful. Branch Manager already have received letters outlining procedures to follow for obtaining carol books and printed invitations. Please see to it that these are returned to the Home Office by the 4th of November, 1974. Branch 0024 under the leadership of Charles Akai, President will co-host the Tournament. All Bowlers, therefore, should make plans now for the Chicago Tournament. Details will be mailed to all Branches which in the past have sent Teams to the National Tournament. We will also keep the membership informed through this official publication. Bishop Zoltán Bekv D.D. Cited on 45th Anniversary September 7. 1974 was a memorable occassion for Bishop Zoltán Beky D.D. president of the Hungarian Beformed Bishop Beki/. Gus B. Boors Federation of America, for on this day he attained 45 years of illustrious service. Mr. Gay B. Banes, Esq. representing President Mr. Elmer Charles officers directors and members of the William Penn Association with eloquent oratory presented Bishop Beky with a memorable placque in the presence of the officers of the Hungarian Reformed Federation. Bishop Beky was overwhelmed by the many good wishes particularly the one from the William Penn Association because it came from Hungarian American brothers and came from Hungarians hearts. The William Penn Associations citation, Dr Beky says has given him strength to pursue his destined work with more fervor and effort for the benefit of Hungarians in America. “Only in this way can we pass the torch on to the next generation.” In a seven day visit to Los Angeles, Calif, thousands of Hungarians paid homage to his Excellency Cardinal Mindszenty.
