that the Association pay 80% of the tuition cost, room and board cost and books and supplies cost for a student member who enrolls in an accredited and acceptable college for the purpose of majoring in insurance and who will agree to give a minimum of two years employment to the William Penn Association upon successfully completing his college course. 10. Director Danko presented a check for $600.00 to the Scholarship Foundation which represented the proceeds of a raffle held at the Bowling Tournament in Detroit, Michigan. 11. Director Frank J. Radvany presented a check for $100.00 to the Scholarship Foundation which represented the annual donation from Branch 13, Trenton, New Jersey. 12. Director Zoltán Emri presented a check for $25.00 to the Scholarship Foundation from Mr. & Mrs. Bela Emri, of Roebling, New Jersey. 13. National President Elmer Charles introduced Mr. Anthony Waskiewicz, President and Executive Officer of the Central Data Systems, Inc. of Pittsburgh, Pa. to the Board of Directors. 14. Mr. Waskiewicz thanked the Board for the opportunity to address them. He informed the Board members that Equibank, Inc., formerly Western Pennsylvania National Bank, has phased out its customer service computer operation of which William Penn Association was an integral part. Central Data Systems, Inc. has taken over the Computer Operation from Equibank, Inc. and is presently performing this computer operation for the William Penn Association. Transfer of this operation was performed quite smoothly and the computer service to William Penn continues with no interruption of business or service to its members. Mr. Waskiewicz pledged his continued efforts to service the William Penn Association account and hoped that with their many years of expert computer and data systems background, they may be able to serve our Association to our fullest satisfaction. The Board acknowledged the remarks of Mr. Waskiewicz and posed various questions to him regarding the computer operation. 15. Moved, seconded, and the Board authorized the Staff to enter into a written contract with the Central Data Systems, Inc. to perform the computer operation for the Association. 16. The National Officers and Board of Directors deliberated thoroughly the matter of the Field Operation as outlined in the Minutes of the Executive Committee meeting held June 6, 7 and 8,1974. Moved, seconded and the Board thoroughly reviewed the production record of General Agents and Agents and notes the production record from January 1, 1974 to May 31, 1974. The Board further accepts the recommendation of the Executive Committee that the period of June 1, 1974 to August 31, 1974 pertaining to assigned quotas be carefully weighed at the end of this period and results noted. The Executive Committee will submit the results of this period to the next Bop'-d of Directors meeting to be held September, 1974. 17. Moved, seconded, and the Board authorized a monthly pay increase retroactive to June 1, 1974 for the following full-time District Office Clerks: Mrs. Ethel Katona, Bridgeport, Connecticut Mrs. Katherine Paksi, Cleveland, Ohio Mrs. Mathilda Jagadics, Detroit, Michigan Since all other District Office Clerks are on a part-time, hourly basis their hourly rate remain the same. 18. Moved, seconded, and Board reaffirmed the following pertaining to first mortgage loans. RESOLUTION It is unanimously resolved by the Board of Directors that upon the recommendation of the Executive Committee the first mortgage loan guidelines as presently established are satisfactory and no changes be made. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Investment Committee continue to grant first mortgage loans as applications are received and funds are available. 19. Field Assistant to the President Gus G. Nagy made a preliminary report to the Board of Directors pertaining to the Bowling Tournament held in Detroit, Michigan. He expressed his sincere thanks to Directors Danko and Veszprémi who coordinated the Tournament as well as the local Committee in Detroit who did an outstanding job in making the tournament a huge success. National President Elmer Charles and Vice President Varga each expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to Directors Danko and Veszprémi, as well as Gus G. Nagy, for the fine performance rendered in co-ordinating this most successful affair. They each praised the local Branches and committee who worked so diligently to make the many bowlers and guests feel at'home and enjoy this week-end of fraternal fellowship. The Board acknowledged this report. 20. The Board embarked on a discussion of the 1975 Bowling Tournament site. Various cities were discussed and invitations reviewed. Moved, seconded, and the Board designated New Jersey to be the site of the 1975 Bowling Tournament. Appointed to administer this Tournament were Directors Michael Hegedűs, Frank J. Radvany and Zoltán B. Emri. 21. Moved, seconded, and the Board approved that the 1976 Bowling Tournament will be held in Pittsburgh, Pa. in conjunction with the 90th Anniversary of the William Penn Association. The 1977 Tournament to be held in the West. 22. The Board commenced to review in detail the Report of the Pennsylvania Insurance Department examination of the William Penn Association for the period of January 1, 1972 to December 31,1972. Following a lengthy discussion by the Board of Directors with the National Officers, it is moved, seconded, and the Board unanimously adopted that the National Officers be authorized to reply to the Pennsylvania Insurance Department, and request them to make changes in the Report as adopted by the Board. 23. General Counsel Gay B. Banes submitted a verbal report to the Board of Directors with reference to the progress on the American Fund Litigation.
