The Dinner Dance will be held on Saturday, November 3rd, 1973 at the Hungarian Reformed Church Auditorium, Beatty and Grand Streets, Trenton, N.J. As in the past we will have a delicous full course dinner with stuffed cabbage, prepared by the Womens Guild of the Reformed Church. Music will be by the popular Steve Fityere and the Continental Gypsies. All members and friends are cordially invited to attend our Annual Dinner Dance. WILLIAM PENN SPORTS CLUB NEWS: The Detroit William Penn Sports and Social Club held its ANNUAL SUMMER OUTING on August 19th in perfect summer weather. We all drove some 60 miles to the home of George and Betty Toth, on a 200 foot canal just seconds away from beautiful Lake St. Clair in Algonac. The outing was a potpourri of fun and relaxation, lightly spiced with a mild fund-raising project; highly seasoned with boat rides in two very comfortable cruisers on Lake St. Clair; Louis Csordás' playing of Hungarian melodies on his accordion.The gentle and fragrant smoke of bacon frying, delectable drippings on onions, peppers, and Hungarian rye bread was enough to make the salivary glands work overtime. Later in the evening the special dishes of the club ladies (most of whom belong to the Br. 18 Ladies Auxiliary) was hungrily demolished in a spirit of friendliness and good cheer. Plenty of cold refreshing drinks, card playing, tall tales of previous bowling tournaments filled this dreamy summer day so much so that no one wanted to go home. It was late, and the skeeters were out in full force, when we finally bid our good hosts a reluctant farewell. Thanks to the George Toths for a marvelous and unusually perfect day in their lovely new home. May you invite us again. Detroit William Penn Sports Club.
