Our meetings will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, at the Pioneers Club Home on Donald Avenue, West Side. We would like to see “You” at our next meeting. The outlook on new and improved ideas, are in store for the coming year. Extending our Get Well Wishes for Julie Tayler and Mr. John Gober, who were recently in the Hospital. Congratulations to the Simon’s in Am­­bridge, Pa. on their new Baby girl. That makes me a Grandma again. J. held its annual Christmas Party on December 10, 1972 at the President Palace Ballroom and it was very successful. The children were entertained by a magician and singing of Christmas carols by the children and their parents and ac­companied on the piano by Mrs. Marika Hero. Afterwards gifts were presented by Santa Claus. Refreshments were later served by the wives of the officers of the Branch. Over a total of 135 gifts were presented by Santa (Mr. Andrew Nemeth) to the children of the Branch members. An enjoyable time was had by all pre­sent. The yearly Election of Officers was held on December 3, 1972 at the Presi­dent Palace’s meeting lounge. All the outgoing officers were re-elected for the year 1973. They are as follows: President, Arthur Barillo; Vice Presi­dent, Alex Lakatos; Treasurer, Frank Zimmermann; Secretary, Ernest Mozer Sr.; Auditors, Mrs. Helen Lakatos, Joseph Baumgartner, and Kalman Toth. Meetings will continue to be held on the third Monday of each month at 7:30 P. M. promptly. They will be held at the Branch office, 10 Village Square West, Clifton, N- J- The new officers urge all members to attend meetings and social affairs that will be held during the year and support their officers. Pictured below are the Kuszko and Marszat families. The newest member is the baby Vho is the fourth generation member of William Penn Association. The Annual Christmas Party for the Juvenile members of Branch 52 was held on December 10, 1972 at the K. of C. Home, Windber, Pa. The William Penn Association was very well represented as many of the children were accompanied by their parents and grandparents. Ap­proximately 80 members attended the party. As each member arrived, they were greeted by Mrs. Steve Gall, who presented them with a name card. Santa Claus, the Man of the Hour, arrived on schedule. We, of Branch 52, are fortunate to have Santa Claus as a member. President Mike Charney greeted all present and wished them all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. He instructed the children to line up and take his turn to visit with Santa Claus. As the children were greeted by Santa Claus, they whispered their Hearts Desire to Santa Claus while he held many of them on his lap. Each member received a bag of Goodies and a Christmas Carol Song Book, compliments of the Home Office and Branch 52. The Ladies of Branch 52 served sand­wiches and soda to all present. Christmas music was played and Mrs. Anna Thomas led the children in group carol singing. Grateful thanks to all the Officers and the Ladies of William Penn Branch 52 for their help. It was greatly appreciated. They are: Mrs. Mary Gall, Mrs. Barbara Homer, Mrs. Peggy Marone, Mrs. Anna Thomas and Mrs. Theresa Veres. Thanks to John Orris Jr. for being Santa Claus’ assistant and to Steve Gall Jr. for furnish­ing the musical entertainment. The children, parents, grandparents en­joyed themselves and wish to extend their best wishes for Continued Success in the coming year 1973. These wishes are echoed by the Officers of Branch 52. Thank you for your generosity. May God Bless You AIL Yours Fraternally, Steve Gall, Branch Manager 56 Detroit, Mich. Branch 56 held its Annual Children’s Christmas Party on Sunday, December 3, 1972. It was heart-warming to see all the bright-eyed youngsters come prancing in to the Holy Cross School Hall, where a lovely Christmas Tree set the atmosphere for the children, along with their parents, grandparents, even aunts and uncles were proud to participate. President, John Horcsik extended a very warm and gracious welcome to one and all. Treasurer, Stephen Jurko, presented a lovely and very versatile program. He got right to the happy hearts of the children as they all joined in singing Christmas Carols, along with parents and guests. It was a beautiful and lovely surprise to all when they sang a few Christmas Carols in the Hungarian language. A bit of fun­­session followed. Before Santa’s arrival, National Director Rev. Fr. Andrew P. Jacobs spoke to the parents and guests of the William Penn of the many benefits the William Penn extends to its membership and empha­sized in particular the William Penn Scholarship Foundation. The highlight of the program was the arrival of Santa with all the goodies for the happy youngsters. Refreshments were served and enjoyed by all. Santa was very happy that he was able to be on time and promised to be back next year! Branch 56 is very grateful to the Home Office for their generous contribution which helped make the party a great suc­cess. Branch 56 held its Election of Officers on December 10, 1972 at their regular business meeting. The following officers were re-elected: John Horcsik, President; Frank Nagy, Vice-President; Mary Mol­nár, Secretary; Stephen Jurko, Treasurer; Mrs. John Horcsik and Mrs. Frank Nagy, Auditors. With best wishes to all and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year. Fraternally yours, Mary Molnár, Secretary 59 Scalp Level, Pa. Our annual Children’s Christmas Party was held from 2 to 4 P. M. at the V.F.W. Home, 520 Main Street, Scalp Level, Pa. This year Santa arrived early and greeted all the children as they arrived at the party. Each child was happy to sit on Santa’s knee and whisper into his ear as to what they wanted for Christmas. The sound of Christmas Carols flowing through the room added to the Christmas spirit. At the highlight of the party Santa asked all children to form a line to be presented with gifts, song books and tickets for door prizes. A light lunch of sandwiches and soft drinks was served to everyone. This is a 6
