He is a lifelong member of the William Penn Fraternal Associa­tion. During his college years he was President of his Fraternity. Having completed a three month train­ing course at the Peace Corps center he drew the assignment to serve in South Korea. All of us in the Connecticut area who know John, know him as a wonderful human being, always willing to help people in need. Many good employment opportunities were his for the taking, but true to his nature he felt he could do more for his fellow man in the Peace Corps. We wish him well and a safe return home. 13 Trenton, N.J. The Bowlers of Branch 13 are making plans and awaiting the Annual Bowling Tournament being held in Toledo, Ohio this year. The bowlers will travel by air flight from Philadelphia. Bowlers next year will be a big year for the Tournament, so get in touch with the Branch early in order to make arrange­ments. Branch 13 will co-sponsor a Gala Picnic and Outing with Branch 76 of Philadelphia, on Sunday, July 26th. It will be held at the Phila. Hungarian Club, 1125 Southampton Rd., Phila, Pa., only one mile north of Roosevelt Blvd. There will be many entertaining ac­tivities for everyone beginning 12 o’clock noon, so come prepared for a day of fun. All kinds of delicious food and refreshments will be available. Music for your entertainment and dancing will be furnished by a popular orchestra, beginning 5 P.M. and con­tinuing until ??? So, Branch 13 members and friends come join your friends and enjoy a memorable day in a pleasant atmosphere. Mark this date, Sunday, July 26th, on your calendar so you won’t miss a nice day out in the open fresh air. Parents make a day of it with the children. Miss Margaret Kovach, Reporter 15 Chicago, 111. At our regular monthly meeting of Branch 15, Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Frank Balogh resigned his position as President. The meeting then elected Mr. Joseph C. Hodits as President for the balance of the 1970 year. They also elected Mr. Stephen R. Hodits as Secretary for the same period of time. 18 Detroit, Mich. Stephen Úsztok, Jr. Pictured above is Stephen Úsztok, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Úsztok, Wyandotte, Mich, who is presently serv­ing in the Armed Forces and stationed in Hawaii. He attended Northern Michi­gan State University and upon discharge from the services intends to continue his studies. Steve is the son of our Detroit Branch Manager and Field Representa­tive Stephen Úsztok and has been a lifelong member of the William Penn Fraternal Association. We all wish young Steve much success and pray for his safe return to his family and his studies, perhaps someday he may even wish to follow in his Father’s footsteps and make life insurance a career. 19 New Brunswick, N.J. Branch 19 member Frank P. Puleio of North Brunswick Jaycees received the Distinguished Service Award as “Out­standing Young Man of 1969” at a Dinner held in his honor. He is assistant treasurer of the Middlesex County Bank. We are very proud of our member and congratulate him and wish him well. The regular monthly meeting will be held on Monday, May 18th at 8 P.M. 208 Somerset Street—District Office. 24 Chicago, 111. Br. 24 will hold a card party, Satur­day, June 13, 1970, 7:30 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall, 11834 Wallace St. There will be lovely prizes, door prizes and refreshments will be served after.
