At Lawrence László Adam High School he was captain of both the basketball and soccer team, and a member of the National Honor Society. Patricia Radvany is a graduate of Pennsbury High School, Fairless Hills, Pa. and has been accepted at the Bucks County Community College. She was active in the student council and a member of the senior executive council. Michael Hegedűs III received School Awards Michael Hegedűs III, Rutgers Pre­paratory School graduate, received the Varsity “R” Award that is given to the Michael Hegedűs III senior who has done the most to promote sound interest in interscholastic sports and who exemplifies the ideals of the athletic program, announced by Dick O’Connell, Director of Athletics at Rutgers Preparatory School. Michael lettered in three sports varsity soccer, basketball and co-captain in baseball. He also received the 1969 Award for Sportsmanship in basketball. Michael is the son of director and Mrs. Michael Hegedűs, Jr. and will enter Rutgers University in September. Frank Bero, 315 Algonquin Road, Fairfield, Conn, recently elected chair­man of the Connecticut Real Estate Commission, was honored May 1, 1969, at 8 p.m. in Frederick’s Restaurant, Kings Highway, Fairfield, Conn. Speakers at the testimonial dinner were: Mayor Curran of Bridgeport; First Selectman John L. Sullivan of Fairfield; Superior Court Judge Samuel J. Te­desco; Elmer Charles, national president of the William Penn Fraternal Associa­tion ; and George M. Brown, president of the Greater Bridgeport Board of Realtors. Also, Richard Schwolsky, senior vice president of the Connecticut Association of Real Estate Boards; Herbert C. Gross, director of the National Association of Real Estate boards. Mrs. Elmer Ondy sang the “Star Spangled Banner” and the “Hungarian National Anthem.” The Rt. Rev. Stephen M. Bessemer, pastor, United Church of Christ offered the invocation. The Rev. Robert McDermott of St. George’s Church gave the benediction. Guests included: Dr. Albert E. Diem vice president of the University of Bridgeport; Stevan Dohanos, artist and illustrator; State Insurance commissioner William R. Cotter; Bradford N. Warner, director of corporate employee and community relations at Warnaco; State Real Estate commissioners, Paul Lewis, Howard M. Benedict, F. Jerome Silver­­stein and Gordon Walsh, George Carr, state director of the Federal Housing Administration; and William Penn Fra­ternal Association national vice president Louis L. Varga of Bridgeport, Conn.; national directors: Joseph Toma of New York, N.Y.; Michael Hegedűs of New Brunswick, N.J.; Dr. Árpád Nagy, Agency manager, Trenton, N.J.; Andrew R. Balogh, Agency manager, Bridgeport, Conn. John F. (János) McCarthy, Bridge­port registrar of voters served as an excellent toastmaster. — Eugene J.
