The visit provided the committee the opportunity to see first hand how the complete premium billing system is handled, statements mailed to policyholders, forms processed for the Home Office, checks mailed for commissions, payroll and other pertinent items. All ledger records and related accounts are also handled through the computer system. The personnel handling the data processing material required by the Association appear to be very competent and have advised us that they are already seeking means to update the services being provided to the Association. It is a pleasure to report that your Association, William Penn, was a "Pioneer” in entering into the premium billing system through computers and processing statistical work through computer centers. During our examination, we asked President Elmer Charles as to what progress is being made on the new building project and he was pleased to tell this committee that plans are already in the formative stage and possibilities are favorable for an early construction date. It is our intention to keep the membership informed as to the progress of this, our largest venture in the history of the Association. In conclusion, we the members of the Auditing Committee, express the opinion that the Home Office management staff are well aware of their responsibilities regarding the field and its problems. Furthermore, they are constantly observing the various cost factors involved in our field operations. An improvement was noted in the business written for 1968, it being twice the volume of 1967 or $10,500,000.00. This trend should continue through 1969 and result in even more substantial proifits for the Association. We take this opportunity to thank the National Officers and Employees for their splendid cooperation extended to us during our semi-annual examination and they are to be commended for their efficiency, capability and courtesy during this visit. We would also like to acknowledge receipt of the letter from Mr. Gaspar Papp, Past National Chairman of the Auditing Committee who wished us a successful audit, and this committee hereby expresses their sincere appreciation for his thoughtfulness. Respectfully Submitted: William C. Kohut, Chairman; John P. Veszprémi, Secretary; Zoltán B. Emri, László Kereszti, Albert G. Kertesz, Helen Nemeth, Members. 8
