A great deal of thanks is given to the following hard working officers, who helped to make this party a success: Mrs. Mary Huthansel, Mrs. Margaret Marhan, Mrs. Anna Varga, Mr. Charles Fabian, Miss Peggy Varga, and our Branch President Albert Ibos. 24 Chicago, 111. Branch 24 held its election of officers, Saturday, December 14, 1968 at the Odd Fellows Hall, 119th St., Wallace. The following officers were elected to office for 1969: Mr. Louis Klaynik, President; Mr. Charles Akai, Vice-President; Mrs. Mary Sabo, Treasurer; Mrs. Betty Akai, Corresponding Secretary and Reporter; Mrs. J. Horvath, Recording Secretary; Auditing Committee: Mrs. Betty Hartly, Mrs. Helen Revay. Entertainment Com­mittee: Mrs. Gizella Varga, Mrs. Liz Popety, Mr. Joseph Revay. After the meeting a delicious lunch and refreshments were served. Just a reminder to all our good William Penn members. Our regular monthly meetings are every second Saturday of each month at 8 p.m., Odd Fellows Hall 119th and Wallace Streets. Please come out, bring your friends, card games are played and refreshments are served after each meeting. In closing, wishing all a very Happy New Year. There was a very fine program which included games, carol singing, Mexican Pinatas, accordion music by Anna and Elizabeth Tenk. Children were served pop, doughnuts, chips, candy and Hungarian pastries. Each child present also received a gift. Those arranging the party were Mr. and Mrs. George Varga, Mr. and Mrs. Marton Nadasi, Mrs. Anna La Valley and children Pamela, Shawn and April. George Varga 249 Dayton, Ohio The annual meeting for the purpose of electing new officers for Branch 249, Dayton, was held December 15th. Mr. Frank J. Wukovits Sr., greeted the children and parents on behalf of the Directors, Offi­cers and Branch 132 Officers. Mr. Frank J. Wukovits Jr. was Chairman of the Committee. Mr. Frank Nowak led in singing of Carols. Two Christmas movies were shown. Santa Claus presented gifts to each child. There was treat of ice cream, and other goodies. 6
