Hegedűs 28 Youngstown, Ohio Hi, this reporter will report all news each month, but please remember the only way she can do so, is by getting the news. So if you have any, please write to Mrs. Margaret Bunchy, 419 Broadview Drive, Hubbard, Ohio 44425. Our William Penn Branch 28 Sunday mixed league bowling ended March 30th. First place winners in First and Second half were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Graham the Champs. Runners up for both halves were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pinkocze. Our banquet was held at the Skylark Restaurant. Election of officers for Mixed League was held and the following were elected Jack Palmer, President; Mrs. Margaret Bunchey, Vice President; Miss Sheryl Bunchy, Secretary-Treasurer. Guests who attended the banquet were, our Agency Manager Mr. A1 Buksar and his lovely wife, our Secretary-Treasurer of Branch 28, Mrs. Ann Wash; Mr. John Bunchy, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Palmer (our league Presidents Mother and Dad) Mrs. Leroy Smith and Mrs. Sándor Tollas. Food was served family style and enjoyed by all. Birthday Wishes to the following: Betty Ann Nagy, Mary Nagy, A1 Nagy, Paul Kopanic, Mickie Graham and Leroy Smith, all of Youngstown, Ohio; and Mrs. Rose Toth of Hubbard, Ohio. Anniversary Greetings go to Mr. and Mrs. Bobovecz and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kopanic. Our sympathies go to the following families: Mrs. Gabor Varga of Campbell, Ohio and the Futkos family of Youngstown, Ohio. A friend of many bowlers, Johnny Knapp of Beaver Falls, Pa. is in the St. Francis Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. and I’m sure he would be more than happy to hear from his friends. How about sending him a Get-Well Card? He will be missed at our National Fellowshin Bowling tournament in New York. Thank you Mr. Popik of Beaver Falls for letting us know about John. We wish John a Speedy Recovery. PLEASE remember the bus leaves at 9 A.M. May 30th, 1969 from St. Stephens Church grounds, so be on time, the sooner we leave the sooner we get to New York City and that will leave more time for sightseeing and meeting friends and the bowlers. Our monthly meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month, at St. Stephens church Hall, 854 Wilson Ave. at 7:30 P.M. Please make every effort to attend. Let’s help our Agency Manager and his Agents. A good William Penn member will let his friends and associates know about our Association. So won’t you be an extra good William Penn member who cooperates with our Agents and Agency Manager, especially for new members. Please call our Agents Mr. Leslie Polgar and Mr. George Du Ponty at this number 743-7717. If you can’t get them, feel free to ask for our Agency Manager Mr. A1 Buksar. He will be glad to give you all information about your insurance needs. Office hours are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Margaret Bunchy 76 Philadelphia, Pa. Where or what happened to our news from Philadelphia? I hope you really missed our news column. It was by no means intentional, but your reporter was a very sick gal for sometime, but as the saying goes “you can’t keep a good girl down” — I hope. First we want to extend our congratulations to Mrs. Katherine Noel, who was appointed Branch Manager for Branch 76. All insurance information can be secured from her. Our meetings are the 2nd Saturday of every month, so if you have any insurance problems, now’s the time to see Mrs. Noel! (P.S. She’s very nice, so do contact her! ) When you read this you will either be getting ready for your trip to New York or perhaps have been to the Bowling Tournament. Either way, the best of luck go to the bowlers and I know the rest of the family and guests will have a wonderful time. Branch 76 is really bubbling with ideas. Summer picnics are being planned for young and the “young at heart” folks. Also, plans are ‘full speed ahead’ for our Fall Banquet. Now you know we always have such a good time, how could you possibly miss this one coming up in the Fall? This year it will be held at the United German Hungarian Ballroom, Spruce and Bristol Roads, Neshaminy Falls, Pa., November 15th, 1969, where you will have ample parking facilities, delicious cuisine, and to complete the setting, a Hungarian orchestra to stir the hearts of all! Do remember to make that reservation now! That’s about it for now, folks — but summer is coming, so don’t forget to keep in touch and come to our meetings and picnics. We guarantee a good time! Till next month — take care. Julie Melnick 3
