All members are asked to give the new officers their full support and to work on the various projects when called on. We can only spread the idea of Fratemalism by working together to achieve our goals, and show others by our good example, the true meaning of Fratemalism for which the social activi­ties are designed. You are fortunate to be able to purchase life, hospitalization and other types of savings insurance and at the same time be able to join in social activities which are provided by the William Penn. The refreshments served after our January meeting were provided by the new officers and Agency Manager, John L. Balia. Frank Ruskay and William Kastan have been named delegates to the United Hungarian Societies of Cleveland. Frank Ruskay is our Entertainment Chairman for the year 1969. His first project is a Card Party which will be held at Kos­suth Hall, 2836 East Boulevard, on Sunday, February 23rd. at 2 p.m. Frank informs us this will be the most out­standing card party ever held at Branch 14. Mark your calendars now! Rita Karnya and her Hungarian dance group appeared by popular demand for the second time last month over Channel 5, here in Cleveland. Miss Karnya and her group will also appear at the Folk Art Festival held at Public Hall later this month. The Officers and members of Branch 14 wish to extend their deepest sympathy to the family of Steve Hudak, Sr. who recently passed away. Mr. Hudak was a member of the William Penn for 50 years. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Jo­seph Tira who celebrated their 50th. wedding anniversary. The Ladies Auxiliary is now meeting the third Wednesday of every month at the Meeting Room at K-Tavern at 2669 East 93rd. St. Members are reminded that the month­ly meeting is held the first Sunday of every month at 2:30 p.m. at the Kossuth Hall (2836 East Blvd). We would like to see you there. Agency Manager, John Balia, asked that in case of the death of a member, some member of the family contact the office immediately in order that the proper services can be provided. Branches Dinner-Dance on Saturday, March 15th, 1969 at the Polish-American Club, Route 130 at 156 Yardville, New Jersey. Also, on our entertainment agenda is the 26th Annual Bowling Tournament and Fellowship Days in New York on the Memorial Day weekend—May 31st and June 1st, 1969. Let’s all plan to be at these Fraternal Affairs. Barbara Hegedűs—Reporter 24 Chicago, 111. The Childrens Christmas Party was held December 22. I am happy to report that it was a tremendous success. Mr. Charles Akai, Branch Manager greeted the approximately 100 children present. Mr. Louis Klaynik, Branch President also extended greetings to the Children and Parents present. The program was short, but very wonderful, we are so fortunate to have so many talented children in our Branch. Marion Dura, age 11 is a gifted musician she rendered violin solos. Chuckie Dura, age 12 is also very talented, he played several numbers on the trumpet. Debbie and Denise Bartolotta, ages 12 and 9 re­spectively, did a Batan Twirling act, and Debbie also played the flute. Little Steven Fury, age 2 is a real bold Hun­garian, he recited a verse in Hungarian. The children then all joined in singing carols, led by Pamela Sabo, 10. Santa Claus then arrived and presented toys and goodies. Refreshments were served. Mr. Akai thanks all those who helped make this a successful party and also thanks the Home Office for the generous assistance. Mr. Stephen Dobozi, President of Br. 26 reports that the Childrens Christmas Party was one of the nicest ever held in Sharon.
