Honored at Bridgeport Branch To All Our Dues Paying Members: ”Thank You!” To all our members who have so willingly cooperated in the last two years to help us convert to direct premium billing and collection, our sincere thanks for mailing your payments to the computer center, your cooperation has helped to make an almost impossible task a reality in less than two years, again, thanks to all of you. And to the few, who still do not send their payments directly to Pittsburgh, may we urge you to do so, thus eliminating the need for going to the District Office or Branch meeting to make your payments. May we at this time again remind our members to please forward your payments by the 20th of the month in which it is due, because we close our books on the 25th and any payments received after that date are only credited in the following month. WE WOULD SINCERELY REQUEST ALL THOSE WHO WILL BE PAYING IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER TO GET THEIR PAYMENTS TO PITTSBURGH BY THE 20th OF DECEMBER due to the Christmas Holiday and the year end work in preparing the annual statement for the Insurance Departments, we must close our premium income ledgers by the 20th. So PLEASE, COOPERATE. The Home Office On October 8, 1968 the Branch held its Dinner Meeting in Mary Journey’s Inn. The Branch led by its President Mr. Frank Bero, National Director and Mr. Andrew R. Balogh, Agency Manager pleasantly surprised Mr. and Mrs. Albert V. Kocsis announcing that the Dinner was being held in honor of their recently celebrated 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary. Mr. Elmer Charles, National President enhanced the evening by his presence and offering a Toast to the Honored couple. Vice President Louis L. Varga presented to Mr. Kocsis a lovely gift, in appreciation for his many years of devoted service to the Association. Mrs. Kocsis was presented flowers for the occasion. Mr. Kocsis was elected Vice President of the former Rákóczi Aid Association in June 1947, in October, 1947 there was a vacancy in the office of President and the then Board of Directors unanimously elevated Mr. Kocsis to Supreme President of the Association which posiJOSEPH VASAS DIED At the closing of this issue of our publication we received the sad news of the death of Mr. Joseph Vasas, our beloved, retired secretary of the former Rákóczi Aid Association of Bridgeport, Conn. He died November 2, 1968 after a short illness at the age of 86. Mr. Vasas had lived in retirement for the past 13 years in Orlando, Florida. Funeral services and burial were held on Tuesday morning, November 5th, in Bridgeport, Conn. We will report in full details in our next issue. tion he held until the merger.
