As his career ascended, he always found time for magyar causes, endeavoring to better the well being of our Hungarian people and institutions. Aloysius C. Falussy was a member of our beloved Association for 28 years. It is only natural that with such talent and understanding, he would soon be recognized as a leader. For demonstrating leadership at the conventions, he was elected to the important position of National Director, and for 21 years, served in this high office. Many fine ideas, fruitful advice and progressive plans were freely given by him at the Board meetings. Aloysius C. Falussy was always willing to help and support any and all worthwhile Hungarian movements. After World War II, he represented our Association and the American-Hungarian Relief, Inc. in Hungary in which organization he played a dominant role. He was National President of the American-Hungarian Federation and a Director of the American-Hungarian Studies Foundation, thus, he participated not only in the life of our Association but was active in all worthwhile Hungarian efforts. He was, however, best known in his beloved New York City where the assistance he gave to many is legion. Particularly during the period of time when Hungarian refugees flocked to the city, his door was always open to assist in their everyday problems, offer his professional services where needed and above all, strove to see that these unfortunates were placed in respectable jobs. May it be to the everlasting praise of Aloysius C. Falussy that he was such a defender of Hungarian Freedom and Like many of our members, you probably belong to this Association for reasons other than our insurance program.
