On Sunday afternoon January 14, 1968, a large group of relatives and friends as well as members of Branch 278 were present for the presentation of Illustrious Citation Awards ot Mr. Alex Papp who has served as President of Branch 278 for many years and also Mr. Andrew Toth who has served as Vice President. Mr. Joseph Kish spoke of the past history of the Hungarian people of Omaha, Nebraska and invariably the names of Mr. Papp and Mr. Toth were mentioned. Louis Zuroske, Manager of Branch 278 presented the pins and plaques to Messrs. Papp and Toth and also a gift for each from Branch 278. A social hour followed with music, food and refreshments. Mrs. Elizabeth Papp 609 Parkersburg, W. Va. Dale C. Lowther, member of Branch 609, Parkersburg and a native of St. Marys, West Virginia, will be a Candidate for the office of State Senate from DALE C. LOWTHER the 3rd Senatorial District of West Virginia. Lowther emphasized that he will be actively working for strong programs to attract new Industries to West Virginia as well as an Equitable Tax Program which will encourage the growth of the State. A graduate of Marshall University, Lowther believes that programs can be developed to encourage other West Virginia College Graduates to live and work in West Virginia and that competitive and equitable salary structures can be established for personnel at all levels in our Education System.
