Dear Friends, It is my pleasure to announce the opening night of the Budapest Opera Society. We will present Opera-in-Concert style in the beautiful restaurant of Janos Taba. Our programs will offer you excerpts from famed operas and some operettas. You will enjoy your favorite arias and duets without sitting through a lengthy performance of complete opera. Our members are all professional, dedicated performers with a past of successful operetic careers. We not only bring great music for the general public, but the enjoyment of great dining. Before every performance there will be a sumptuous buffet, served with ambition and style by the Old Budapest Restaurant. There will be traditional Hungarian cooking loved and acknowledged through the years. There is a well chosen wine list, the choice of Hungarian vintage and other extraordinary selections. European and Californian wines are also served by the glass. In the newly decorated Old Budapest you will find the service attentive. There is anple parking in front of the beautiful building. Come and celebrate with us our opera-operetta nights and enter the world of musical fantasy. Opening night: January 5, 1986.
