(53) NEW RIVER ENGINEERING SURVEY AND SERVICE BOAT ON THE DANUBE By I. Rácz (Figures see on pp. 345—350. of Hungarian text) UDC. 629.122 : 627.4 The article describes the diesel-craft built for the Danube River Engineering Service in the Balatonfüred shipyard in 1953 (Fig. 1. and Picture 1.). The boat serves for inspection trips, soundings, measurements of velocity, of suspended matter and bed load, further for buoying. Principal dimensions : full length along the water line L = 14,7 m ; beam È = 3,15 m ; maximum draught with 10 men and 2,15 t load, motor fuel, T k = 0,65 m, displacement with full load 15,2 tons. Propulsion : 1600 revs, per min. 75 h. p. diesel engine ; speed in dead water can be read from Fig. 2.
