147 The foreign practice of the trickle Irrigation /Summary/ The publication provides Information on the trickle /drip/ irrigation spreading all over the world.Making clear the beginning circumstances, reasons, role and position of the method it provides information on the different basical solutions and the advantages and disadvantages to be expected. Further on the results attained by the research and operating organizations and the products of the manufacturers are described in it by countries /Israel, Italy, Australia, United States, France, South Abrica, Spain etc./. Several hydraulic and economic problems are also discussed. The material arrived, presented and published at the П. International Drip Irrigation Congress, held in San Diego, 1974, is dealt with in a separate shapter. Each of them is summarized briefly. The publication is supplemented by a detailed reference list enumerating more hundred works so that by means of the references in the text a detailed information can be obtained for almost every question of detail connected with trickle irrigation.
