In Chapter 8 the computation methods are presented in a comprehensive system, accompanied by a collection of formulae and by illustrative examples, to facilitate for the designer the numerical estimation of the stability of levees under different conditions and for a wide range of soil properties in the levee embankment and the foundation thereof.
