gos téglaburkolatos építmény az 1965-ben felrobbantott - Nemzeti Színháznak helyet adó - Blaha Lujza téri Népszínház víztornya volt. A Kauser József által tervezett víztorony és az alatta lévő épületek a már meglévő színház működését segítették 1895-től. Az épületekben készültek a teátrum díszletei, a színészek jelmezei, a belőlük kinövő víztorony szegecselt vaslemez tartályában tárolt víz pedig működtette a színpadi záport és a színpadtechnika hidraulikus berendezéseit. A csővezetékek a két épületet összekötő alagútban futottak a Nagykörút alatt.

A torony belsejében körlépcső vezetett a tartályig, de ma már lifttel is fel lehet jutni a jelenleg tárgyalóteremként használt felső terembe, az egykori víztartályba.

The water tower, designed by József Kauser, and the lower buildings supported the operation of the theatre from 1895. The scenery and sets for the theatre, and the actors costumes, were made in these buildings. The water stored in the iron tank of the tower was used as a rain machine, and it ran the hydraulic equipment used to operate the stage lifts, scene sets and curtains. Pipelines were laid under the main road, in the tunnel connecting the two buildings. Inside the tower a spiral staircase led to the tank, but nowadays there is also an elevator to the top room, formerly the water tank, that currently serves as a meeting hall.
