egyik hazai teoretikusa, Mihailich Győző készítette. 1500 m3 űrtartalmú tárolója Intze-rendszerű vasmedence. Hengeres részének átmérője 15 m, vízszintje teljes feltöltés esetén 40 m magasan volt az utca szintje felett. A medencéhez vezető acéllépcső a sudarasodó törzs belső palástja mentén halad. Esztétikai és városképi szempontoktól vezetve a tartály tetejére egy ún. Schwedler-rendszerű, nyolcszögletes, acél- szerkezetes kupola került, melynek csúcsdísze 56,80 m magasan emelkedik a város fölé. A tetőszerkezet és a tartályt körítő vasbeton téglafal súlyát nyolc darab, vízszintes rudakkal kihorgonyzott vaskonzol hordja. 1944-ben a visszavonuló német csapatok a víztorony felrobbantását tervezték, de újpesti ellenállók megakadályozták.

Dümmerling and the plans for the reinforced concrete structure were designed by Győző Mihailich. The 1500 m3 tank is an Intze-type iron pool. It has a 15 m diameter cylinder, the water level was 40 m above street level when it was completely full. The steel staircase leading to the pool follows the line of its slim body. On the top of the tank a Schwedler-type octagonal, steel-structure cupola was designed and including the peak decoration part, the tower is 56.80 m high. The weight of the reinforced concrete brick wall surrounding the tank and the roof structure is supported by eight iron brackets that are anchored by horizontal bars. In 1944 the retreating German troops planned to blow up the tower but the Újpest resistance prevented it.
