Although there ie a list in the pai>er of ÉHIE and DÏÏDICH /1924/ which gives a general survey of probable occurrences of ectoparasite species on our home mammalian species, the authors published it,as they also remark in the introduction, on the basis of foreign literature data rather than on the - at that time rather meagre - Hungarian collection data and siphonapterological literature. My studies on the Siphonaptera in the Parasitological Collection of the HUNGARIAN NATURAL HISTORI MUSEUM enables me to submit a list of hosts, » if not complete still made on demonstrable and proven specimens. Of the relevant literature data, I could include only three data of KOHAUT's work /1903/, since the others lack locality data»I publish merely one datum after CSIKI /1907/, and four from HOPKINS and ROTHSCHILD /1955, 1956/, which refer to hosts living within our present boundaries
