Length of humerus 22,6 - 23,5 (N • 3) M - 22,9 mm. Width of distal portion of humerus 1,12-1,18 (N - 3) M » 1,14 mm. Length of radius 39,8 - 40,4 (N « 2 ) II - 40,2 mm. Width of proximal articulating surface of radius 2,30 (H - 2) M » 2,20 mm. Length of proximal articulating surface of radius 1,92 1,96 (N-2) M-1,94 mm. All other measurement readings shown in Table 1. Thia apecies is among the rarer bats in the Carpathian Ba8in today, but it can be found in nearly all Pleistocene and postglacial localities, implying that it must have been more frequent in the past. The difference in size of the above material as related to the recent specimens is quite striking. As is to be seen from Table 1, the means of the skull, mandible and teeth measurements of nearly all animals found in the VASS LURE - Cave are slightly greater than those of the recent specimens, although there is, in the recent material, an exceptionally large skull whose main measurements exceed the maximum values of the VASS IMRE - Cave skulls.
