Branch 216, Northampton, Pennsylvania, constitutes District 4-B. Stephen foth is elected district chairman and Tibor Jász is elected district recorder. The meeting unanimously elects Stephen Toth delegate to the Verhovay Convention and Stephen Hanto alternate delegate. The district meeting places its trust in delegate Toth and feels that his past Convention experience will enable him to represent his constituents wisely. —TIBOR JÁSZ, District Recorder District -4-C The meeting is held on June 12, 1955. Branch 98, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania constitutes District 4-C. District chairman Michael Jámbor conducts the meeting. . Stephen Lang, Sr. makes the motion that Stephen Lang, Jr. be elected delegate to the Verhovay Convention. The motion is seconded and carried. Julius Demko is elected alternate delegate. The meeting charges the delegate to protest the present ruling that only those with certificates amounting to $1000 or more may become Con­vention delegates. —TIBQIt JASZ, District Recorder District 11-B The meeting is held on June 26, 1955, beginning at 2:00 P.M., in Johns­town .Pennsylvania. % . . ■ . . . Johnstown Branch 8 is District 11-B. The district chairman is Stephen Lengyel and the district recorder is Frank Dudás. • The following points are made by District 11-B. 1. The meeting by a majority accepts the recommended new name, WILLIAM PENN FRATERNAL ASSOCIATION. 2. The Verhovay-Rakoczi merger has a majority vote. 3. Dividends should be paid on the older certificates, or at least a month’s dues be free yearly. 4. All certificates on which liens were put in 1924 should benefit- .by the cancellation of these liens, since over a period of twenty years the interest paid on these certificates almost amounted to the amounts of the liens. 5. The Convention and not the Board of Directors should establish the pensions. 6. Directorial districts should be abolished. Where the presence of a Director is needed, the neárest Director, in point of location, should be called. -This policy would effect Substantial savings. 7. The Board <jf ’Directors should not exercise the right to change the Eylaws except in cases of points forgotten by the Convention dr changes necessary before the next Convention, and the Board of Directors must be accountable for any changes relevant^ to the above exceptions, which changes are to be strictly judged by the Convention. 8. Any member who is at least 75 years of age and has been a member for at least 49 years should be released from paying "further monthly dues. 9. Directors, Auditing Committeemen and District Managers should not be eligible to become Convention delegates. 10. The Home Office should name a branch manager only with the ap­proval of the branch itself. 11. Each branch should sponsor its own bowling team with no financial assistance from the Home Office. 12. The salaries of the National Officers should be fixed by the Con­vention for a period of four years. No interim changes in these salaries should be made by tl\e Board of Directors, nor should the Board of Directors change its own remuneration over the four year period. 13. When a branch invites a Director to its event or celebration, the traveling expense and per diem fee should be borne by that branch. 14. Certain points in the Bylaws are not acceptable, and these points are to be aired at the Convention. District chairman Lengyel calls for the election of the Convention dele­gate. Stephen Petruska, Emery Boroszki, Frank Dudás and Stephen Lengyel are nominated. Elected were Frank Dudás, 15 .votes, Convention delegate, and Stephen Petruska, 10 votes, alternate delegate. Honor was paid to member Har­­key for his having won the One Man Event in the National Verhovay Bowling Tournament held this year in Chicago. Branch 525 formally pre­sented to Mr. Harkey the trophy he had acquired at the- tourney.
