One hundred and fifty people were present at the affair, which was held November 21, 1954 at the Hungarian Reformed Church ,at 344 East 69 Street, New York City. The officers of the branch, as well as Mrs. Margie Nemeth who conceived the idea, are to be congratulated for such an interest in their younger members. It is hoped that this has set a precedent' for future such events ,and there already is talk of them. Working closely with Mrs. Nemeth and her committee was Field Supervisor Joseph Toma who not only contributed much of his time but was one of the party’s most liberal donators. The children as well as the parents had a pleasant time. It will be most .interesting to follow the coming socials of Branch 48 — for they bear watching! On November 13, 1954 about 200 or more people gathered to honor Field Supervisor Joseph Toma observing 15 years of Verhovay service. National President John Bencze and other out of town and local dignitaries attended. CONGRATULATIONS TO MR. TOMA AND MAY HIS VERHOVAY SERVICE BE OF MANY MORE YEARS.
