(Continued on page 6) NEW CHRISTMAS SEAL The American Hungarian Federation will soon distribute this beautiful 1954 Christmas seal to the various Hungarian societies which in turn will send them out to their respective memberships. Not only is this new Christmas seal superlatively beautiful but it graphically identifies the past with the present. Francis Rákóczi, of princely rank, is one of the greatest figures in Magyar history. As the great statesmen are doing this very moment, the noble Rákóczi himself did in championing 'the cause of freedom and righteousness. The spirit of Francis Rákóczi is burning in the hearts of Hungarians today for the kind of liberation for which he fought ceaselessly in the 18th Century. The Rákóczi Christmas seal was designed by Gabriella Koszorús, Washington, D. C. artist of note. National Auditor John Sabo witnessed the creation of the seal. We make a fervent plea to our members that they purchase the 1954 Francis Rákóczi Christmas Seals which will reach them through the mail. Every seal affixed to your Christmas mail or package will be a message for Justice and Liberty. A REAL FRATERNALIST It is the policy of Verhovay to publish the photographs and necessary facts on any of its members running for public office, when, of course, this request is rfiade of the Home Office. However, here we stress the candidacy of Joseph J. Horvath who is running for State Representative to the General Assembly of Ohio. Mr. Horvath is a member of Branch 14, Cleveland, Ohio, and is certainly one of the most active Vlerhovayans in that great city, in addition to contributing regularly his VERHOVAY WATCHTOWER series to the Verhovay Journal. Mr. Horvath’s election will mean another genuine FRATERNALIST in office. His experiences as a member of Verhovay would serve him well when matters pertaining to fraternals are being discussed in the State Legislature. JOSEPH J. HORVATH
