JOHN SABO, National Auditor------*—*4% — — Branch 303 Manager Taken by Death Luke Timar, who for many years managed Branch 303, Washington Park, Illinois, died after a short illness on August 2, 1953. Funeral services were held August 5. The deceased is survived by his wife, sons and other relatives. Mr. Timar was born November 10, 1885 in Endrőd, Békés county, Hungary. When he came to this country he settled in East St. Louis, Illinois, and worked for the Aluminum Ore Company until his pension. The well-liked branch officer enjoyed the distinction of having merited the Illustrious; Citation and Gold Medal for his many years of devoted service to Verhovay. A member since February 15, 1914, Mr. Timar served Branch 303 loyally and well since its founding almost thirty years ago. He, was its vice president first, then assumed the duties of treasurer, finally, and for many years, fulfilled the branch managership. We express our sympathies to the bereaved members of his family.
