PAGE 14 Verhovay Journal March 19, Í952 Social Club Organized at Branch 45 Cleveland, Ohio At a meeting held February 16, j 1952 in the school auditorium of the I West Side Reformed Church, Cleveland, Ohio, Branch 45 inaugurated the Bianch 45 Social Club. There is a unique quality about the newly formed social group in that its officers are all women. The president of Branch 45, Joseph Drotos, and the recordertreasurer, Emery Keszey, conceived sometime ago the feasibility of getting together a social club within Branch 45 that would be under the leadership of the female members of the branch. They believed the women deserved this recognition for the willingness which they have shown in branch affairs, especially in social activities. For these reasons the members quite harmoniously elected the following women to conduct the functions of the new Branch 45 Social Club: Mrs. Bela Szabó, President; Mrs. Ladislaus Csorba, Vice- President; Mrs. Eugene Vincze, Secretary; Mrs. Joseph Drotos, Treasurer; Mrs. Joseph Brassay, Recorder'. These ladies intend to step up the social life of Branch 45, and no doubt they will succeed. The forty-fifth anniversary of the founding of Branch 45 will be celebrated Sunday, October 19, 1952, in the West Side Lutheran Church Hall. In this connection the new Branch 45 Social Club will play a prominent role toward assuring a, very successful festival. To add impetus to the event, Branch 45 has set a goal for the celebration of its 45th anniversary: 45 NEW MEMBERS FOR THE 45TH ANNIVERSARY. Branch 45 will be represented officially at the 50th anniversary of Branch 14, Cleveland. President Drotos announced at the recent meeting that Branch 45 will honor the 50th anniversary of Branch 14 by sending 50 representative members to the Branch 14 affair. OFFICIAL NOTICE The attention of the members of Branches 90 and 98 is called to the establishment of a district office in Bethlehem, Pa. The new office is under the management of District Manager Andrew Kovács and is located at 6 East Third St., Room 205, Bethlehem, Pa. The telephone is Bethlehem 8-6162.
