Fraternally, Frank Balogh, Sr., Br. Mgr. Gaza S. Hodge Earns Degree Sincerity of purpose and perseverance toward its end are the salient factors essential for any accomplishment that would be highly' successful. Sincerity and perseverance are just what Gaza S. Hodge (Hodzsi), member of Branch 286, Portage, Pa., had when he decided five years ago to study chemical engineering as a career. His arduous scholastic labors are now at an end for on February 1, 1952 Gaza received his degree in chemical engineering. From here on Gaza S. Hodge is on his own to reap (the harvest of his years of preparation and to enrich the world with his future contributions in the Very important field of chemical engineering. It is true that chemical engineers have done much to make /the world a better place in which to live, although they have not been given the fanfare enjoyed by some other groups. The new chemical engineer graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. Before enrolling at the University of Pittsburgh Hodge spent one year in study at Chicago. He is a World War II veteran and was in the service for three years. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hodzsi, parents of Gaza S. Hodge, have coincidentally celebrated more than once in February. They celebrated the graduation of their son Gaza on Febniary 1st. Later in the month they observed their fiftieth weddinganniversary. Their eight children, fourteen grandchildren, one greatgrandchild and friends, some traveling great distances, honored and feted the elder Hodzsis on their golden wedding. And recently Mr. Hodzsi observed his seventy-fifth birthday. The Hodzsi Family has fourteen who are members of Verhovay. Branch 286 is happy indeed to have so many Hodzsis on its membership roster, and it heartily congratulates Gaza S. Hodge, newly graduated chemical engineer.--------------------------Branch 27 Holds Meeting Discusses Important Verhovay Events The Ninth Annual National Ten Pin Tournament and the Bencze- Revesz Anniversary New Membership Campaign were the very important subjects which the members of Branch 27, Toledo, Ohio, discussed at their regular monthly meeting February 10, 1952.
