November 21, 1951 HEWS From The Field PRESIDENT TRUMAN RECEIVES MEMORANDUM FROM AMERICAN HUNGARIAN FEDERATION---------------------------­Verhovay Journal ________________________________________________________________________________ On Friday, October 12th, at a special audience, President Truman received a 19-man dele­gation of the American Hungarian Federation in the Rose Garden, at the White House. The above picture was taken after the presentation of the “Memorandum of the American Hungarian Federation to the President of the United States Concerning the Human Rights Violations in Hungary”. DISTRICT MANAGER APPOINTED TO BRANCHES IN BUFFALO, N. Y. Members of Branches 121 and 383 in Buffalo, N. Y., are notified herewith of the appointment of Mr. Tibor D. Jasz to District Manager, effective November 1, 1951. Mr. Jasz, whose address is 167 Grace St., Buffalo, N. Y., assumed office on November 1st, taking over the management of Branch 121 from Mr. Nicholas Nagy and of Branch 383 from Mr. Joseph P. Rafe. To both of these fellow-members I wish to publicly extend my sincere thanks for their conscientious services during the time they have held the manager’s position. I sincerely recommend to the Buffalo membership our new District Manager, Mr. Tibor D. Jasz, who will devote his entire time to the service of the membership and the advancement of our Association. All members are requested to pay their dues to Mr. Jasz, to contact him in all matters pertaining to the business of the Association and to support him in his en­deavor to increase our membership in Buffalo. Those who have loans on their policies are urged to pay the interests thereon before the end of November, because later pay­ments cannot be credited at the Home Office before January, after the loan statements will have been completed.
