DISTRICT ASSIGNMENTS OF OUR BRANCHES BASED ON MARCH 31,1951 MEMBERSHIP TOTALS

In accordance with the instructions of the Board of Directors, the preconvention District Sessions shall be held in June, 1951.

The Secretaries of the Districts will inform the respective Branch Managers as to the date and place of the District Sessions. The Branch Managers! are requested to immediately notify the District representatives of their branches.

Branches are entitled to representation at the District Sessions according to the following rules: (By-Laws Part II, Chapter II, Paragraph 85 1—

“Each'Branch having at least twenty-five (25) Senior Members shall have the right to send one (1) representative to the District Session. Branches having a larger membership, shall have the right to send representatives to the District Sessions on the following basis:

One (1) representative from twenty-five (25) to one hundred ninetynine (199) members.

Two (2) representatives from two hundred (200) to two hundred ninety-nine (299) members.

Three (3) representatives from three hundred (300) to three hundred ninety-nine (399) members.

Branches which constitute Districts by themselves shall exercise all rights of the District at their own branch meetings.

Branches which, for any reason whatsoever, shall fail to send a representative to the District Sessions and Branches having less than twenty-five (25) Senior Members, shall have the right and privilege to communicate their remarks or motions in writing, to the District Sessions to which they belong.

The proceedings of the District Sessions as recorded in the Minutes arei published in the Official Organ of the Association. Due to the acute paper shortage, the Secretaries of the District Sessions are urgently requested to compose excerpts of the Minutes to be published in the shortest possible form.

The Delegates to the National Convention will be elected at the District' Sessions, according to' the following key: — (By-Laws Part II, Chapter I, Paragraph 3) —

"For four hundred (400) members — one (1) Delegate and for each additional four hundred (400) members, — one (1) additional Delegate.” The number of Delegates to the National Convention to be elected by each District is indicated in CAPITAL LETTERS in the listings below. It should be noted, however that the membership totals shown below are as of March 31, 1951. Actually, the number of delegates to be elected by each District, will be| determined on the basis of membership totals as of May 31, 1951.
