SONKOLY Mr. Arthur G. Sonkoly, of 17100 Maple Heights Blvd., son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Sonkoly (the latter the former popular news correspondent and social secretary of Womens Branch 361, Cleveland, O.), was very much surprised last month as he received orders from First Air Force, Mitchell Field, N.Y., to report to Langley Air Force Base on Augusti 14th, as Staff Sergeant Arthur G. Sonkoly served three years previously in the Air Force, in the AACS, the Airways Air Communication Service in the Carri bean Area. The Sergeant is a graduate of Maple Heights High, and was to have graduated from the Cleveland Engineering Institute on September 6th. Sonkoly, 21 years of age, is a member of the Maple Heights Amvets and served as public relations officer and also as news correspondent for the Maple Hts. Press. He is a member of Bedford Masonic Chapter No. 375. Shortly before he left, there was “open house” at the parental home where more than a hundred friends appeared to wish Godspeed and safe return to the young, talented Verhovayan.
