Verhovay Journal IMMIGRANTS INFORMATION BOOK “Immigrants Information Book — How to Enter the United States,“ published recently, was written by Charles L. Cusumano, a New York lawyer, after 18 months of study and research, and as a Result of years of specializing in immigration matters. Many thousands of Americans want quick information on how they can bring foreign relatives or friends into the United States. They have not been able to get it quickly and PAGE 6 inexpensively. Mr. Cusumano felt that there was a crying need for a small, comprehensive book on the subject which would be both reliable and easily understood by the average man, so that he would know exactly what to do to bring a relative or friend in. Throughout the writing of the book the author has constantly had before him the picture of an intelligent reader knowing nothing about immigration, who wanted to learn about it quickly, reliably and without cracking his skull in doing so. Mr. Cusumano has described his book in these six words: “Immigration facts with the spikes removed.” Not only is the book clear, simple and authoritative, but it is arranged in logical sequence to save the reader’s time. Through the “short cut” at the beginning of the book, a reader can quickly find the information he seeks. The book, 56 pages long, is published by Old Faithful Publishing Company, 123 William Street, New York, and sells for $1. It his a very detailed table of contents besides the “short cut” that streamlines the book for quick reference. August 17, 1949 NOW BE GOOD The proud father was talking about the intelligence of his son. “You know, dear,” he told his wife, “I think he must have got his brains from me.” “He certainly must,” retorted his wife, “I’ve still got mine.” Husbands are three varieties: Prizes, surprises and consolation prizes. A smile is ä light in the window of the face which shows that the heart is at home. SEMI-ANNUAL STATEMENT JANUARY — JUNE, 1949 I. Balance from Prev.
