Cavanaugh, were born on December 3rd, 1040. Having entered the world to­gether, they probably will share many experiences, like that of joining the Juvenile Order of the Verhovay which was accomplished when they were 6M: weeks old. Nicholas Palla, Manager of Branch 130, who wrote the applications, is as proud of the twins of his Branch as arc the happy parents. The father of the twins. Christmas Party The children's Christinas Party w ill be held on December 20th, from 2 to 5 P.M. Parents are urged to bring their children to the party where each of them will receive a present from the Branch. This is a joyous occasion for our children: let us not deprive guy of them of the Christmas happiness which nur branch is preparing for -them. Sylvester Dance The climax of each year's social season is the grand New Year’s Party. This year, too, we are plan­ning a grand dance for December 31st. Every member is invited and urged to bring his frineds to this happy affair. An excellent dinner will he served before the dance. Branch 361 A card party will he held for the benefit of the Verhovay Home on Saturday evening, November 22nd, in the ladies’ meeting room on the second floor of the Verhovay Home. All members of Woman’s Branch 361 as well as of Branch 14, Iheir officers and friends, are cordially invited to this affair. Our next meeting will be held on December 7th. Every member is urged to attend, because the officers of the Branch are to be ejected at that time. The future success of the branch's program depends on the cooperation of the officers and the membership. This can be assured by electing those members who have the ability to win the confidence of the membership. Our branch has made splendid success during the last few years. JOHN KOROSFOY, Manager. in Chicago for the last time Li his expiring term, to honor the two officers of Branch 164, and hid fare­well, until his hoped-for recovery, to his many friends in Chicago who had become deeply attached to him during the eight years of his di­rectorship. Mr. Bencze delivered a stirring address following which Mr. Kele"­­men presented the awards of the Board of Directors to Messrs. Irocz­ky and Barna. The following extended their con­gratulations and best wishes to the' honored branch officers: ‘George Weiler, director of the Milwaukee Hungarian Radio Hour, and chair­man of the Grand Committee of Hungarian Societies, and Manager Julius Wank, representing Branch 475 of Milwaukee, Wis., Nicholas- Palla, manager, speaking in behalf of Branch 130, East Chicago, Ind., branch-president Molnár and man­ager Peter Kiss in behalf of Branch 327, Joliet, HI., and from the Chicago branches: manager Hovanezy of Branch M.13, Manager Korody of Branch 74, president Tinich of Branch 96, manager Lachman of Branch 342, and Joseph Hodits, of­ficer of Branch 503. Secretary W. Kopniek conveyed the greetings of Branch 129 of the Rakoczy Aid As­sociation, and Frank Földi congratu­lated the two officers in behalf of ■*B ranch 141 of the same society. Mrs. Mészáros, chairman of the Woodmen Circle 132, Nicholas Butkovits, sec­retary of lodge 317 of the Wood­men of the World, Charles Gasior, chairman of the Social Club, James Corvin, president of the Chicago Rá­kóczi Sick Benefit Society, and S. Ehas, president of the Society of Independent American Hungarians, also spoke. Louis Feifar, only living founder of Branch 164, was warmly applaud­ed. Joseph Exner, speaking in behalf of the 40 members of Branch 164’s bowling league, Dr. Alex Friend, branch-physician, and William Feifar, speaking for the former officers, extended their congratulations and best wishes. A gift to each of the two honor­ed officers was presented by Eagene Petrovits, vice-president of Branch 164, and then Joseph Iroczky ex­pressed his thanks to the National officers of the Verhovay, the mem­bership of Branch 164, his many friends, and the representatives of the many organizations represented on this occasion, for their fine tri­bute. He assured them that he found great pleasure in his work and pledged his continued devotion to the cause of Verhovay fraternalism. Thanking them for their gift he turned it over to the branch-man­ager as his donation for the Hun­garian orphans. Juvenile order branch-manager Louis Barna also extended his thanks to the assembled guests for their good wishes. Mrs. Joseph Iroczky, speaking in behalf of the family of the branch-president, congratulated her husband upon the completion of a quarter of a century of fraternal " service which has often taken him away from his wife, children and grandchildren, but this occasion has proved to her that such service is not without its just rewards, for which she expressed her sincere ap­preciation to their many friends. In conclusion, the Master of Cere­monies announced that, in commem­oration of this event, a substantial amount will be donated toward the first tractor to be sent to Hungary by the people of Chicago.
