Alex Black, member of Br. 451, Bairdford, Penna, is now serving the Armed Forces with a Medical Unit somewhere in the New Guinea area. ALEX BLACK STEVE VARGO ROY CHERAN LOUIS SNAKOVSKY Pvt. Stephen Dobos, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Dobos, 311 Strawberry Street, McKees­port, Penna., was inducted into the U. S. Army in March, 1943. He is in the Anti-Aircraft division, and was home recently for a furlough. Stephen is a mem­ber of Br. 395, McKeesport, Penna. Miss Julia Patrick, S. K. 3/C, Norfolk, Virginia, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Patrick, Leechburg, Penna. Miss Patrick is a member of Br. 172, Leech­burg, Penna. Pvt. John A. Stepancik, of 13621 Puritas Road, Cleve­land, Ohio, is now serving in the U. S. Army, in Vir­ginia. He is a brother-in-law to Steve James Kravec, through marriage to his sister, Anna. Pvt. Stepancik is a mem­ber of Branch 45, Cleveland, Ohio. Roy Cheran, U.S. Marines, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Cheran, Yukon, Penna. Roy was born in Yukon, in which town he attended the South Huntington High School and is well known throughout the Smithton District, where he was proprietor of a bakery. He was inducted in­to the Service May 14, 1943, and is stationed at Parris Island, where he still con­tinues his profession — but now he is baking for mem­bers of Uncle Sam’s forces as well as other Verhovayans stationed there. Roy is a member of Branch 396, Jacob’s Creek, Penna. Louis Snakovsky, 9115 Cumberland Ave., Cleveland, Ohio, is now serving in the U. S. Armed Forces some­where overseas.
