Fields 168 151 167 486 Taking a perspective view of 429’s bowling teams, the pictures painted include an upward surge to better bowing. In words of one syllable, we’re all getting mighty good. The men’s team took 6 points straight for the last week, which has given them much confidence in themselves. Nick Horvath bowled himself a nice 456 series on Jan. 21. Fisher’s scores keep climbing each week; Steve Horvath forges ahead with his over 400 series weekly; Lucas goes on the night shift next week and Robb gets back on the bowling team after his stretch of night work. John Lukas is our newest substitute and does himself right proud. The gals are still wondering about the Verhovay Tournament. Are we, or aren’t we, going to have one? If not, well, there is still the City Tournament to look forward to and I mean we’re going to win us some prizes. But we would like to know if the Verhovay Tournament is still being considered. Last year at this time, we had our entry blanks mailed in. plans all made, wardrobes all assembled, and here we are this year, still in the air. How about some dope on the Tournament —t pro or con?
