If each member will put his shoulder to the wheel and interest one of his or her friends to join our Organization, your branch would be doubled in size. It is not impossible; it can be done! Let our motto be: “THE CHICAGO DISTRICT WILL LEAD!” Your efforts will not be in vain, for the prizes that will be awarded the winning branches or individual contestants are truly worth working for. Enter this Membership Drive NOW and go out to WIN! So much for the Membership Drive, with anticipation of your announcement to enter this Contest. The CHICAGO DISTRICT will have Jubilee Albums printed in commemoration of our Organization’s 55th Jubilee. Secretaries of the 82 branches belonging to this District are requested to send a 100 to 150 word biography of each of their branches. Include the names of those officers and members who have contributed their services towards the growth of our Organization during the past 55 years. Through this medium, we intend to preserve their names in the memory of all Verhovay members . Names of members and their families, in the form of salutations, will be printed in the Album for a contribution of twenty-five cents. Of the twenty-five cents the soliciting member retains five cents for himself. Foxexample : If your soliciting committee collects one hundred names at twenty-five cents per name, amounting to $25.00, he turns over to the District Treasurer or Secretary $20.00 and keeps $5.00 for himself. The same system applies to advertisements solicited from business men. A full page ad will cost $20.00; a half page $10.00; one-fourth page $5.00, one-eigihth page $2.50. The member soliciting the advertisement is allowed 20% of the amount collected for the ad. Form your soliciting committee and begin the work. You can fully realize that the Committee in charge of the 55th Jubilee has tried its utmost to see that members who are taking an active part in this great enterprise will be reimbursed for their work.
