A Női osztály minden második szerdán tartja ezen sorozatos Bingó estélyét, mely összesen 10 estét fog kitenni. Tekintve, hogy az első este fényesen sikerült, reméljük, hogy a következő esték még sikeresebbek lesznek. Minden Verhovay tag hozza barátait és ismerőseit erre a nagyszerűen szóra­koztató estélyre. Ugyan csak kérem a tagságot, hogy havi dijaikat minden hó 25- ike előtt fizessék be vagy az iro­dába vagy pedig a fiókok titkár­jainál mert a központi hivatal megkívánja, hogy a havi dijak a hónapnak az utolsó napján leg­később Pittsburghban legyenek. A si­ker érdekében legnagyobb odaadásai dolgoztak a követ­kezők : Mános László, elnök, Pirigyi József, titkár, Kish Sándorné, Shirokman János, Bakó János, Bukszár Berta­lan, Soda James és a Base­­ball-csapat tagjai: Nyakó Sofie, Nyakó Julia, Collius Mary, Soda Sally, Nyíri Mary, Peiton Dorothy, Piri­gyi Margaret, Bakó Helen, Bakó Katharine, Corso Rose, Corso Sadie, Szabó Eszter, Koval Mary, Bakos Grace, Nyiri Goldie, Tenke Anna és Hollock Bertha. A bálon je­len Volt Takács Miklós, ke­rületi szervezőnk is. Itt lesz nemsokára a legszebb ünnep a karácsony s az ünnepi hangulat ebben az esztendőben minden eddigit felül fog múlni. Nagyon sokan nem csak beszél­nek, hanem készülnek is az óha­zába. Minden felől olyan nagy az ér­deklődés a hazai utazás iránt, hogy a Cunard White Star Line elhatározta, hogy négy különleges karácsonyi társasutazást rendez. Ezek mindegyike úgy indul, hogy az utas a karácsonyi szent ünnepet szerettei körében az óhazában tölthesse. Külön figyelmet érdemel, hogy a Cunard White Star Line, Már­kus Alfréd vezetésével, a de­cember 15-én induló QEEN MARY-n is rendez egy társasu­tazást. Márkus Alfréd urat jól ismeri a magyarság s igy tudja, hogy az utazással járó minden gond lekerül a válláról ha az ő vezetése alatt teszi meg az utat az, óhazába. Ezen az utón gondos­kodnak arról, hogy a hires Cunard White Star konyha magyar éte­lekkel7 kedveskedjék az utasok­nak. A hajón pedig pompás szó­rakozásról gondoskodnak. A sze­mélyesen vezetett négy karácso­nyi társasutazás indulási ideje a következő. Berengaria — indul november 25. Queen Mary — indul decem­ber 1. Aquitania — indul decem­ber 8. Queen Máry — indul de­cember 15. MARDI GRAS DANCE As a part of its Fall and Winter activities, Branch 395 of McKeesport has com­pleted arrangements for its annual “Mardi Gras Dance.” Due to the tremendous suc­cess of our past dances this year and the constant re­quests of our Verhovay friends for another dance, this “Mardi Gras Dance” ías been planned. The proposed fun frolic is to be held at McKeesport’s most beautiful and spacious lallroom, in the Penn-McKee Hotel. The ball is to be leld on Tuesday, November 9, 1937 and to start at 8:45 P.M. Misses Margaret Biro and Ethyl Halas are co-chairman of the dance and have named the following committees to aid them. The publicity is being handled by that capa­ble pair, Irene Pasternak and Alexander Goydan. Gus Nagy, Stephen Poliak, James Benedect, and Frank Toth are the floor committee. Wiliam Ferency and Julius Lenhart were selected for the. orchestra committee. Helen Goydan, Elizabeth Kanyusik, Gene Hirsh, and Elmer Halas will be the re­ception committee. The group in charge of tickets are: Emma Poromb, Alex­ander Goydan, Ann Bogi, Margaret Dudash, John Sa­bo and Ernest Debreczenyi. For this gala occasion, Marty Schramm and his or­chestra have been selected to play. Marty has the most outstanding orchestra in the Pittsburgh district. He has played long-term en­gagements in Pittsburgh’s most exclusive night spots. The district’s smart set have danced to his distinctive rhythm many times. Cameras! No, this is not Hollywood, but the boys are becoming can­did camera crazed. This fad has the boys going in circles, after invading thea­ters and nite clubs, the boys decided to invade new fields, guess where? Right! A dance is to be held by Branch 12 of the Verhovay Fraternal Insurance Asso­ciation of Etna, Pennsylva­nia. The affair will be held on Saturday evening, Octo­ber 23, 1937, in the St. An­thony Hall of Millvale, Pa., otherwise known as Goose Hall. The Miskovitz Family Or­chestra will furnish the mu­sic.
