We gladly comply with that request of the Royal Hungarian Consulate of Cleveland, received by our Editorial Department, to publish the list of names given below. This list contains the names and addresses ol youths in Hungary, who desire to establish contact with the second generation of Hungarian youths'in Amercia, through the medium of English correspondence. This method of exchanging thoughts and opinions and securing friends overseas, can be of advantage to the younger generation here as well as to those of the Old Country. In addition to acquainting them with one another, the movement would serve to facilitate, mutual understanding between Hungarians living on the two Continnets. For the youth taking part in the Yerhovay Fraternal Insurance Association’s membership campaign, this would be an excellent opportunity for securing friends in the Old Country. For this reason, we warmly recommend this list of names, given below, to the attention of our readers. 1. László TÖRÖ, (age) 20 Kazinczy-u. 36, Szeghalom Hungary 2. At our meeting.last Tuesday we celebrated our 2nd Anniversary with a Tea Social and Dance. We had our meeting first. Just our members and their friends were asked to come. We had an orchestra to furnish the music for the dancers. During intermission we served a lig'ht lunch. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Mr. Kuhn, a director, spoke a few words, and Mr. (.ineel, the District Manager also spoke ^.nd read the letter written to our Branch by tlie President, Mr. Darago. At our special meeting last Jam 26, we elected the following as officers for the year: President, William Kohut. Vice-President Emma Borovich. Sec’y-treas. Alex, Fentek. Controller, Helen Kish. Publicity Agent, Emma Borovich. * “Slats” Sopko would like to know the difference between a Fox Trot and Square dance. Will someone explain the difference to him before a certain young lady acquires enough courage to do so. What young lassie at the dance j given Ivy this Club, stole the hearts of all the boys? For information see the firm of Criminal lawyers.] Eddie Gall and Zoltán Vincent. ! What was the prize in the Ping- Pong tournament between Joseph Estinka, Elvira Lqszlo, Janet Horvath and “Slats” Sopko? # What inspired Lawrence Nagy to do the new “Romance Dance?” What young lad from the Wyandotte Branch received the attentions of Marguerite Smythe. * What’s the matter, Miss Horvath, given up boys during Lent? * We saw Master Gall in a dancing mood with the “Lady in Pink” Most unusual hair-do we’ve seen of late is the one Miss Marie Rákóczi sported at “St. Valentine’s Dance” the other night, at the Verhovay Hall. Miss Smythe will be quite a sobsister if she intends to follow in the fóotsteps of Joe Gee. * Mary Horvath wore another eye-arresting gown at the evening we thought. It was a pink silk dress. With it she wore orchids at her shoulder. * ARMISTICE SIGNED: The truce between the autoleaders and the union, was a mere scrap of paper compared to the one made between Miss Rakoczy and Joseph Estinka. You know... Joseph Estinka could win the gratitude of hi Country. . . why, perhaps we’d even observe his birthday nationally . . . If he‘d quit suggesting orchestras to play at our dances... Miss Elvira László is one of the town’s belles, very much interested in the wellfare of our young lads. * Dan Korody and Miss Mary Shovoly and many other young patrons, poured into the modern Swing Bar. Miss Mary Horvath and Zoltán Baki occupied a table in the corner. THINGS TO COME: “Slats” Sopko, A .B. V. S. College.
