1950s. Róna’s masterpiece itself miraculously weathered the 1944^15 siege of Buda Castle and it even survived the ideological polemics of the fifties - after its restoration it was moved back to its original place. One of the city’s finest works of art is once again an integral part of the over­all view of the Castle District, which has been declared part of the World Heritage.
