Club house of the Land Bank in 1941 qualities were universally acknowledged. The building was extended to the north when, in 1937, a complex (designed by Ferenc Csonka) of several competitive open-air pools was added to the existing indoor facili­ties. Badly damaged in World War II, the Sports Swimming Pool was rebuilt in 1950. Later, as the existing pools turned out to be insufficient to serve Hungary’s devel­oping competitive swimming, a new pool, one that can be covered with a tent structure, was built next to the indoor one in 1958.
