The Pest Hungarian Commercial Bank The head office of the Pest Commercial Bank (the Ministry of the Interior). The first phase of construction supervised by Quittner This bank procured three plots at the corner of Ferenc József (today Roosevelt) tér and Fürdő (today József Attila) utca for the construction of its new head office. The building on the corner, after which the street was named, was the Duna or Diana bath (fürdő is Hungarian for bath), which treated its customers to the warmed-up water of the Danube in its Carrara marble bathrooms.
