Parisian Arcade, part of facade made of a similar material, whose beauty can only be fully appreciated in strong sunshine. Besides the Gothic architectural detail (such as the rose windows above the entrances, the frame mouldings of the double and triple windows and the ornamental dividing columns between them) the sculptural decoration is also worth discovering. The waists of the male and female figures leaning out of framed fields further enhance the effect of the curious and picturesque play of light and shade thrown and reflected by the surfaces of the slightly protruding French balconies. Featured in the animated scenes in the reliefs underneath the balconies are putti riding on dolphin-back, shells, and animal figures. Above the cornice, the semi-circular reliefs topping the projections, whose function, besides emphasizing the corners, is to articulate the building vertically, are separated by pointed Gothic pinnacles.
