The pool is mainly used by practising athletes, so it is only open to the public for limited periods. Imre Nyéki swimming pool in Kondorosi út 14 Kondorosi út, District XI This swimming pool, built to plans by Ferenc Miklós Szabó with an arching roof well suited to its environment, opened in December 1988. In a short time it became a popular venue of physical exercise and relaxation for the population and schoolchildren of its neighbourhood. It has a 33.33 metres by 21, deck level competitive pool and a 16 metres by 8.5 learners’ pool. There is also a gym, a fitness club and a sauna. The Kondorosi út swimming pool has achieved remarkable results in the field of swimming instruction and children’s events. In 1996 a further 25 metres by 10 learners’ pool was added to the existing pools. 56
