The most beautiful woman in Pest was the model for Flóra orations being placed on pump wells dug in order to provide each apartment building with subsoil water, which at that time was not yet polluted. In the Inner City, in Lipótváros and in Terézváros, these beautiful courtyard ornaments, which had long been out of use or connected to the mains, can still be found here and there, most of them decorated with the figures of young ladies. Specimens of such installations are the one or two fountains which can be seen, moved here from their original places, in the courtyard of the old Pest County Municipality. There are some more cast or carved figures of a similar quality elsewhere, in old buildings, the places of their original installation. Most of these are neo-Classical, but there are also some representing Romantic, Empire and Art Nouveau styles. For example, a female figure holding a torch decorates the mansion built in 1837 at no. 9 Zrínyi utca. There is another well-known fountain sculpture standing in the courtyard of no. 29 Andrássy út. The 150-year-old sculpture of a lady at no. 19 34
