Révay József utcai Tabdi Borozó Tabdi Wine-Tavern, Révay József utca XIV. Bácskai utca 42 Mária says: “That Cinka! It’s a bad place. At least, not the place itself, but the people who go there. Criminals. It’s a bad place, alright, and if that’s the sort of place you’re gone on, well, I must say!” I had to see the Tabdi for myself. A lot of people from the film studio come here, there are three barrels above the bar counter, that’s where the light comes from. There is a large variety of food: sausages, brawn, black pudding ä la mode Bácska (the street has been renamed Bácskai utca too), salami seasoned with paprika, liverwurst, fried bacon, lean bacon boiled and fried, bacon ä la mode Kolozsvár. A huge sign saying: HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS! has been hanging at the foot of the stairs (five steps) for some years. 57
