Its huge panes of glass make it look like a supermarket or a butcher’s shop made over into a pub. Vaskapu 995-ös Kocsma Irongate Pub no. 995 IX. Vaskapu utca 49 A ground-floor pub, the furnishings are unimportant, the clientele is not. This is the haunt of the butchers from the slaughter-house. 1 drop in for a beer, there is a sudden screech of brakes, a big white lorry stops before the door, a posse of butchers in blood-spattered white coats troop in and sit down beside me. A kindred institution of the 995 is a beer-bar in 2, Vágóhíd utca. Kupa Vendéglő Goblet Restaurant X.
